Hailing from NWI; POUSTO has captivated crowds with their original reggae-ska-rock music and their high-energy performances. With interesting lyrics and catchy melodies blending reggae, ska, and rock, POUSTO has fun danceable "party" music. Whether it's at a packed venue, a frat party, kegger or clambake, POUSTO always leaves the crowd wanting more. They will do anything it takes to get the audience involved, encouraging dancing and crowd participation. POUSTO strives to make each performance a memorable one for all.

While POUSTO was formed in late 2000, the roots go back years before…

In the winter of 1996, after moving back to the Chicago area from Las Vegas, Brent (Vocals, Guitar) and Jason (Bass) began writing songs together. This would later become a foundation of songs for POUSTO to build on. Matt (Guitar), an old school friend, would join in periodically and eventually helped form POUSTO. As time passed and addresses changed, the song list grew. Once the band established good songs and created a small buzz in their hometown, they set out to find the last piece of the puzzle-a drummer that could fit their style. That brought in Michael, and since then, POUSTO has taken off. Together, they recorded a 3-song EP. This single was met with an excellent response from the local community, as well as cities many miles away. They have airplay on numerous college radio stations throughout the US and Canada, and have also had 2 songs (Deputy Song and Anymore) featured on 94.7 FM's Local Zone in Chicago. In late 2002, POUSTO finished up recording their debut album entitled, "Straight From A Dream." This CD was independently financed, and has been well received throughout Chicagoland, with great sales at shows, and also local record stores. POUSTO is dedicated to continue their grass-roots promotion by playing out over 50 shows per year, with the likes of Rusted Root, Lucky Boys Confusion, EXO, and The Dog and Everything to name a few. All the while writing new music.
